Chapter Five - Land Acknowledgement

Land Acknowledgement: I would like to acknowledge that I live and work on land (Tovaangar / Los Angeles) that was, is, and will continue to be the home of the Gabrielino-Tongva peoples, who have lived here since time immemorial. While no amount of reparations can make up for the centuries of genocide caused by waves of European settler colonialism, I am committed to materially supporting local Indigenous land rematriation projects — including the Tongva Taraxat Paxaavxa Conservancy — as well as to continuing to learn and teach about local Indigenous knowledge, practice, and culture.
