Chapter Six - Land Acknowledgement
Full description
Land Acknowledgement: Much of the research and writing for this essay occurred at Washington State University, which resides on land that 37 federally recognized Indigenous nations recognize as traditional territories and waterways. The University expresses its deepest respect for and gratitude towards these original and current caretakers of the region, and calls the academic community to recognize our responsibility to establish and maintain relationships with the wider Indigenous community, in support of tribal sovereignty and the inclusion of their voices in teaching, research and programming.
